Drought Stage Not Declared, But Imminent Barton Springs Edwards Aquifer Conservation District Advises Advanced Planning April 13, 2011
The depth of water at the Lovelady well is on a steady downward trend and will likely be the first to trigger what appears to be an imminent drought-stage declaration. The water level at Lovelady is projected to cross the drought threshold on or around 4/26/11. The means that the BSEACD Board will likely declare Stage II Alarm Drought at their regularly scheduled meeting on 4/28/11.
